Comparative Reactor Safety Analysis

Completed a 20+ page comparative safety analysis for a proposed nuclear generating station at Wesleyville. The project evaluated CANDU PHWR, AGR, and BWRX-300 technologies using eight safety-related criteria.

  • Conducted technical research and safety-system analysis
  • Helped establish the scoring methodology
  • Completed calculations, tables, figures, and report writing
  • Contributed to the recommendation of the CANDU design

Indoor Scissor Lift Design

Developed an indoor scissor lift for a building with a 12-foot ceiling and an approximate 400-pound design load. My proposed concept was selected for further development.

  • Modelled most major components in SolidWorks
  • Contributed to the final assembly
  • Produced approximately half of the engineering drawings
  • Supported calculations and cost estimation

Screw-Type Fruit Juicer

Worked with an eight-person team to design a screw-type fruit juicer. My proposed concept was selected as the basis of the final design.

  • Created a weighted selection matrix
  • Compared eight concepts across nine criteria
  • Modelled components in SolidWorks
  • Supported final assembly and documentation
